The pharmacy technician program is a 2 year program within the CCTE Health Science Department.  The program is designed to allow students to gain formal knowledge of pharmacy techniques in both the classroom and practical setting.  First year students complete courses including pre-AP Anatomy and Physiology, Health Science Technology, and dual credit Medical Terminology and Medical Ethics.  After completion of all first year courses, students are eligible to enter the pharmacy technician program.  Eligible students for the junior health science program  must be at least 16 years old, have a minimum grade of 85 or higher in Biology and an overall GPA of 90%.
